If the boot and system partitions were different you may be able to remove the boot partition( the one that contains \windows), but you wouldn't be able to remove the "system" partition ( the one containing the boot files) since the Windows Vista temp files are located on that volume and you can't remove the temp

The KB943411 patch apparently exists in two configurations, one for 32 bit systems and the other for 64 bit systems. That seems to put a stop to the effort for the moment, but raises a question about how auto-update managed to get it installed,and why the file can't be downloaded now.

You will find that as you start downloading them, the others will be listed as popular Vista update downloads. Vista SP1 will probably have thse updates included You may get better performance with the latest DX9c rather than DX10. I haven't tried FSX SP2, in 64 bit Vista, so I can't comment on those results.
